Medicare Disclaimer

Last Updated: August, 2024

Chiropractors are not allowed to opt out of Medicare, meaning that Medicare patients can only see Medicare-enrolled providers for chiropractic care even if they would prefer to pay out of pocket for a non-enrolled provider. As a solo practitioner, being enrolled with Medicare is currently not something I have the capacity to do because of the additional requirements to be compliant to their rules. It is very frustrating to me as a provider because I cannot legally see valued patients once they have Medicare Part B, even if they would like to be under my care.

I am not an enrolled Medicare provider. If anyone informs me that they have Medicare, it is my legal obligation and responsibility to inform patients of the regulations which are unfortunately out of my control. As always, I aim to be as transparent as possible to avoid any misunderstandings. I am more than happy to refer you to a Medicare enrolled Chiropractor in the Reno/Sparks area.
